Art of Trio is a Woodwind Trio consisting of Bari, Tenor Sax, and Flute. Drawing on the diversity of their musical backgrounds, Brzytwa, Lewis, and Robinson search for the common thread they share as deeply committed improvisers. Collectively the performers have spent time honing their chops with Traditional and Contemporary classical music, Jazz, and Electronic music. Together, they have cultivated abeautifully distinctive vocabulary of long tones, rhythmic grooves, tonal lattices, and vibrations of microtonal clashing and resonance. The players have performed in a diversity of venues both domestic and abroad such as Roy Disney Concert Hall, Gilles Peterson’s WorldWide Festival, Festival des Musiques Innovatrices, and many others. They will make their New York Debut at John Zorn’s The Stone” in June 2012. This ensemble performs creative, improvised music that draws on the traditions of Jazz, Chamber, Electronic music and beyond.

Trespass Project Description
West of Rome Public Art (WoR), the leading organization for temporary public art in Los Angeles presents Trespass with a parade on Sunday, October 2, 2011 in downtown Los Angeles. Founded in 2005, WoR serves as a conduit for cultural activity with breakthrough ideas and concepts for contemporary art in the public realm. For more information please visit http://trespassparade.org.
On Sunday, October 2, 2011 by 11:00am the streets of downtown Los Angeles will erupt in a parade of local artists and residents along Broadway as Trespass parade takes over complete with music, dancing and performance. The parade celebrates the culmination of Trespass, a collaborative project between Arto Lindsay, Rirkrit Tiravanija, and West of Rome Public Art. Trespass has commissioned over 60 Los Angeles-based artists to produce a statement – each expressing a call to action, pleasure and reciprocity. The statements will be printed on T-shirts in English and in Spanish and worn as part of the parade. The T-shirts will also be sold online to benefit the project. Many of the artists will join the parade with a performative piece. The parade will first convene at 1933 South Broadway, Los Angeles, CA 90007.
Besides Arto Lindsay and Rirkrit Tiravanija participating artists include: Eleanor Antin, Edgar Arceneaux, Lisa Anne Auerbach, John Baldessari, Walead Beshty, Scott Benzel, Andrea Bowers, Nancy Buchanan, Chris Burden, Vaginal Davis, Sam Durant, Charles Gaines, Cheri Gaulke, Amy Gerstler, Piero Golia, Matt Greene, Julian Hoeber, Alex Israel, Glenn Kaino, Dawn Kasper, Mike Kelley, Chris Kraus, Barbara Kruger, Joel Kyack, Suzanne Lacy, Liz Larner, William Leavitt, Sharon Lockhart, Ann Magnuson, Daniel Joseph Martinez, Dave Muller, T. The event will be a rich cultural evening, filled with music from various parts of the Balkan region. We will have three distinguished performances each with a slight variation and adaptations of added worldly cultures and sounds.
All proceeds collected from the event will go towards a scholarship fund for a number of exceptional young adults living at the orphanages all over Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) that would like to pursue university education. The program will cover university costs, a small stipend and, if necessary, the housing costs. Our goal is to give these young adults the skills and opportunity to become self-reliant and productive citizens of their country.
The featured musicians include Rade Serbedzija and Miroslav Tadic, AlmaNova, Zana Mesihovic & The Balkan Soul Orchestra.
